The jurors stated…..“A thoughtful, and very visually complete project.  The scale, mood, and population, offered a simple proposal that was well worked out, and had good real world viability.  For a municipal type infrastructure building, it generously created a connection to adjacent land in the manner it engaged the site.  The graphics were engaging”

"The jurors  stated that... "Full of complex site constraints, we saw this civil engineering project turned into architecture.  We asked, "If you forget about what used to be there, is it a good project from scratch... and we answered YES." The project delivered lightness to the thick bridge and transparency and reflectivity that amplified the experience of The Strip rather than dectract from it."

The jurors felt that..."The project is beautifully scaled and full of good intentions.  It offers a different type of place within a rural landscape with it's modest, compounded, simple forms.  The package itself is clear, well executed and compelling.  More than recognizing that it could be built, we note that we would like to see it built."

   For
   BATTLEBORN: MEMORIAL TO NEVADA'S
                                                 FALLEN WARRIORS

The jurors stated that... "The project offers a strong gesture that will ground well.  It is beautiful object, landing on the lunar surface.  It also serves as a "Civic Marker". We note the clarity of the building diagram and organization, use of building/roof section to reinforce the important plane.  Materiality, detailing and graphics all reinforce the overall design."

   HONOR AWARD - BUILT CATEGORY
   Presented to
   CARPENTER SELLERS DEL GATTO
   ARCHITECTS

   For
   HENRIKSEN BUTLER SHOWROOM
Click here to see the Entry

The jurors stated that... "This modestly scaled project is serene, thoughtful, consistent and well detailed.  It removes an awkward chamber and gives back useable outdoor space without it feeling tacked on.  We noticed how well the original material palette was expanded to include, light and landscape into an originally utilitarian shell. "
