Project Narrative

MGM Grand is transforming its guestrooms with a modern and stylish design inspired by the iconic disco ball. This renovation aims to craft a modern yet refined experience for the diverse guests that visit, from entertainment seekers and high-rollers to families and conference goers. Each of these guests have come to Vegas to explore and discover. As the guest enters each floor they are greeted with vibrant carpet patterns with movement throughout balanced with a neutral palette and enhanced by the playful art along the corridor journey priming guests for the glamorous accommodations ahead. The rooms themselves embody disco flair with a refined elegance. An overall neutral backdrop with bold wallcovering accents and dynamic carpet patterns welcome the guests into each guestroom. The guestrooms have a modern and refined design with vibrant carpet patterns, rich wood finishes throughout the casegoods with tactile textures and thoughtful accents creating a modern and luxurious stay for the guest. Bronze metal accents throughout add a layer of luxury and give the sparkle to the guest experience that ties back to the sparkle of a disco ball. The balance of the design creates of space of modern vibrant sophisticated experience leaving the guest wanting to discover more throughout their stay.

Sustainable Design & Materials

Any hospitality project can be challenging in terms of aligning with sustainable choices. However, one of the most sustainable actions is to renovate rather than replace. In this case, great care was taken to select materials and FFE items that met Gensler's benchmark for recycled content, source of product and location.
