Project Summary

The House of Blues project involves renovating the Restaurant, Bar, Retail Store, and Box Office at the Mandalay Bay Resort Casino, located in close proximity to the new Raiders Stadium in Las Vegas. The primary concept behind this renovation is to transform the space into an old distillery building, aligning with House of Blues' aesthetic. This theme is reflected in the choice of finishes, furniture, and artifacts throughout the project.

Project Narrative

Within the vibrant atmosphere of Mandalay Bay Casino, our collaboration with Live Nation aimed to reimagine the House of Blues into a thematic, culinary-driven experience along the iconic Las Vegas Strip. The essence of this renovation lies in the conversion of the space into a vintage distillery building, seamlessly aligning with the House of Blues' distinctive aesthetic. This thematic integration extends across the entire project, evident in the thoughtfully selected finishes, furniture, and artifacts. Taking prominence at the property's corner, the "Furnace" Bar becomes a focal point with its imposing industrial structure, capturing attention and providing a prominent presence visible from the Mandalay Bay Hotel casino. The expansive distillery space accommodates a multilevel main dining area seamlessly connected to the bar, offering unobstructed views of performances on the "Still Tank" stage. Additionally, we have meticulously designed two "Private Reserve" dining experiences that can be effortlessly integrated into the main dining area as the need arises. Positioned at the "Loading Area," the Gear Shop store features a main entry accessible from the Casino hallway. Its strategic connection to both the bar and Music Hall enhances the overall cohesion of the renovated space, creating a seamless and immersive experience for patrons.

Sustainable Design & Materials

The House of Blues restaurant and entertainment venue stands as a beacon of artistic expression, seamlessly blending soulful rhythms with sustainable design. This vibrant space has been meticulously crafted to immerse patrons in a sensory journey, where the essence of blues music is not only heard but felt in every corner. Upon entering, guests are greeted by the rhythmic melodies, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. The foyer boasts reclaimed wood paneling, a nod to the venue's commitment to sustainable sourcing. Warm, ambient lighting guides patrons through the space, inviting them to explore the various dimensions of the House of Blues. The main dining area is a celebration of color and texture, with deep indigos, rich reds, and earthy browns dominating the palette. A central stage takes center stage, flanked by intimate dining spaces adorned with custom-designed fixtures crafted from recycled materials. Pendant lights, reminiscent of antique microphone stands, dangle above each table, casting a soft glow that enhances the overall ambiance. The bar area is a visual masterpiece, combining salvaged materials and artistic flair. LED-lit shelves showcase an array of sustainably sourced spirits, while hanging pendant lights mimic the glow of stage spotlights, infusing the space with a touch of theatricality.
